SMP FAQ’s

Below are the average compiled questions asked during appointments for your viewing pleasure.

The average cost of Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is $2,000-$5,500. Prices can be less or more depending on the level of hair loss.

After your Scalp Micropigmentation treatment you must avoid touching, showering, or shaving the treated area for a minimum of 4 days. Avoid carrying out any activities that may cause excessive sweating. Do not use a moisturizer, or shampoo, direct sunlight, swimming, sauna, or a steam room for 4 days. On your 5th day you should wash your head gently with cold water and baby shampoo.

During your free Scalp Consult we will go over your current hairloss and what would look the most natural for your face. We will choose the hairline and discuss the color before getting started to make sure the results are realistic.

Scalp Micropigmentation on average is not painful, however depending on your pain threshold their are certain areas of the temple which can sting due to the skin being thinner in that area. On a scale from 1-10 the average client rates the pain between 2 to 4.

Normally four sessions are necessary to give a true gradient on the scalp. If additional sessions are required a touchup may be necessary at the standard rate.

All tattoos fade over time due to your lifestyle, but most Scalp Micropigmentation lasts about 3-5 years before it begins to lighten. We however, do recommend yearly evaluations to ensure your scalp is in tact as you enter into each new year. There are many reasons a scalp can fade, so staying in contact with your technician can avoid those issues from happening. The most common reason premature fading occurs relates to shampoos or conditioners with acid ingredients, lack of sunscreen, and external environments. An SPF 50 and a moisturizer is advised to keep your scalp looking impeccable.

There is no downtime to begin your Scalp Micropigmentation journey. Normally four sessions are booked two weeks apart in order to give your skin time to heal. You can actually come in on your lunch, or after work since we are open late to complete your free consultation.

Cutting your hair truly depends on whether or not you have most of your hair. If too much is missing it is recommended to cut down to the skin in order to ensure true density can be achieved. A textured look can be achieved when you create a real gradient with several layers of impressions.

Apply moisturizer three times daily to prevent dryness and flaky skin. Unless you had a density procedure, avoid growing your hair too long. If you do not need to shave your head, we advise using an electric shaver only. We recommend a Remington HC4250, Pitbull Silver IPX5, Walh Professional Blading Clipper, or similar shaver. Please avoid wet shaving for 10 days post procedure.

Brows FAQ’s

Below are the average compiled questions asked during appointments for your viewing pleasure.

Microblading or Ombre Brows are a permanent tattoo technique which enhances the color, shape, and symmetry of natural looking brows. Ombre brows are now leading in the nation as the #1 brow service in America. Ombre brows can be soft, or heavy depending on the skin type and bone structure. Each option heals very naturally.

The cost of Ombre Brow services is $1040. We offer financing through United Medical Credit for credit scores above 640, and secondary financing through Arc90 if you have 90 days of no overdrafts and a verifiable income that will cover the loan amount with no credit pull necessary, nor interest if paid off within 90 days.

You should not get microblading if any of the following applies to you if you are immunocompromised, pregnant, taking blood thinners, Accutane within the last year, Botox within the last two weeks, retinal a week prior, sunburned, breast feeding, or have any skin conditions on the brow such as psoriasis, eczema, acne, or history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring. Depending on your medical history, a doctor’s note may be required.

After your Microblading, Combination, or Ombre Brow treatment you will need to pat your brows every 2 hours for 6 hours the first day. Lightly wash your brows with a soft cleanser, pat dry, and then apply a rice grain amount of moisturizing balm. Please wash pat dry, and apply this balm twice a day in the am and pm to ensure your brows are kept clean and hydrated. After a week you can discontinue your post-care and let them heal naturally.

During your appointment we will go over your current shape and discuss what shape would look most natural for your face. We will choose the body, shape, and color before predrawing exactly what your brows will look like. Once the predraw is done you can look at your brows and make suggestions before beginning your treatment. We pride ourselves on hyper realistic brows, therefore it is very likely our technicians will draw exactly what you have in mind for your face.

Microblading (Nano), and Ombré brows on average are not painful, however depending on your pain threshold their are certain areas of the brow which can sting due to the skin being thinner in that area. On a scale from 1-10 the average client rates the pain between 2 to 4. We do numb the area after the first pass to reduce the pain.

Normally two sessions are necessary to give a true gradient on the brows for ombré, and hair strokes for nano brows. An additional touchup session is required at the standard rate.

All tattoos fade over time due to your lifestyle, but most permanent makeup on the brows last about nine months for oily skin, up to one and a half years for dry to normal skin before it begins to lighten. We however, do recommend yearly evaluations to ensure your brows are intact as you enter into each new year. There are many reasons brows can fade, therefore it is recommended to check in yearly with your technician to avoid those issues from happening. The most common reason premature fading occurs relates to retinols applied to the face, any moisturizers with acidic ingredients, lack of sunscreen, and external environments. An SPF 50 and a moisturizer is advised to keep your brows looking impeccable.

There is no down time during the first session, however the brows will need to time to heal before returning to your normal daily life. No water, hot showers, steam, gym time, or sweating is allowed. You want to maintain the post care regimen for 10 days for great results.

The stages will be darker brows for the first two days, followed by light scabbing, and flaking before the skin starts to close over the strokes or shading. As the skin heals the pigment will appear lighter, but most of the color will return once the skin returns to a healed state. A touchup will be required to ensure the color that has faded can be refreshed.

Skin FAQ’s

Below are the average compiled questions asked during appointments for your viewing pleasure.

Discontinue any topical prescriptions containing Retinol A or Vitamin A. Avoid waxing and sun exposure. Do not receive Botox or dermal fillers and do not have another facial or peel.

Do not use any acids (AHAs), or benzoyl peroxide (BHAs) to avoid inflammation, and stop exfoliating your skin to avoid irritation. Men please do not shave the day of your peel.

The next 72 hours are important to maintain glowing skin. Please avoid direct sun exposure and steer clear of extreme heats and colds (i.e. gardening, cooking over a hot stove for a long period, exercising, swimming, fireplace, or hot tub). Discontinue any AHA products for the first 72 hours to ensure skin is no longer flaking. Use hydrating products which sooth and encourage healthy cell growth (i.e. Antioxidants, Vitamin A, C, and E). Sunscreen is mandatory to avoid hyperpigmentation. Do not scratch, peel, or pick the facial areas and drink plenty of water.

The treatment is not painful overall due to numbing the area. There are some areas where you will feel a pinch, or a slight sunburn feeling post treatment as it heals.

There is no downtime after treatment, but 3M tape must be applied to the skin to speed up healing for dry Needling treatments.

Peels can be done 2x a month. Surgical Scar treatment can be done 1x every 8 weeks. Stretchmarks can be done 1x every 8 weeks. Body contouring can be done 1x every 4 days.
